North Cotswolds Rotary Help to Rehabilitate Traumatised Children of Eastern Ukraine

North Cotswold Rotary is backing a proposal received from the Rotary Club of Kyiv to provide an activity and learning based residential course for displaced and traumatised Children from Eastern Ukraine.  The North Cotswolds Rotary financial backing of £3,500 will enable 30 Children to spend 10 days with qualified teachers and psychologists to assist with their rehabilitation in Kyiv.  We were delighted to learn that Rotarians in Denmark will also be providing funding, enabling a further 60 children to attend the programme, underscoring the international support from Rotary Clubs around the world for the Ukrainian people in these desperate times.

North Cotswolds Rotary Welcomes New Member

We welcomed a new associate Rotary member, Tetiana Balats, from Ukraine.  Tetiana is currently living in Great Rissington having been displaced by the Russian invasion of her country.  She has had to leave her husband in Ukraine.  Through Tetiana we look forward to gaining a better understanding of the situation in Ukraine and developing closer ties with her country.  However, our heartfelt wish is that her dream of returning to Kyiv and reuniting her family happens very soon.
