Greystones 10k and children's fun run

After a year off because of Covid-19 the Greystones 10K and children’s fun run, sponsored by Brio Retirement Living, returned on 4th July.  Over 50 runners tested themselves on the 10K course across the beautiful countryside of the Greystones Farm Nature Reserve.

Prior to the main 10K there was a children’s fun run that was won by Bentley Fasasi.  The 10K was won by Freddie Fielding in 40.06 minutes closely followed by Mike Smith and Barnaby Hall of Bourton Roadrunners.  Lauren Cooper was the first woman home, finishing in 4th place overall.  Jaq Underwood of Bourton Roadrunners and Gabrielle Swait came in 5th and 6th.

Medals for all runners were presented by Kelda Fasasi General Manager & Head of Care at Brio and Steve Whincup the President of North Cotswolds Rotary.  The £800 profit made will go to support Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s work at Greystones Farm Nature Reserve.
