Helping Hand 2026

North Cotswolds Rotary is a local group of volunteers which aims to create an environment for a wide and diverse membership to work together to provide service to the community whilst at the same time providing an environment for social interaction and friendship.  This is your opportunity to apply for a small grant to support your local community group or small local charity.  This is the fifth year of the grant scheme and in the first four years North Cotswolds Rotary have given grants to 39 charities and community associations totalling over £18,000.

Key Criteria:

  • You must be a local charity or small community group.  Large charities and charities with professional paid fundraisers or large reserves should not apply.

  • The grant must benefit the local North Cotswolds community (within a radius of 15 miles from Stow including Northleach and Moreton-in-Marsh).

  • Awards of up to £750 will be made with smaller amounts for some projects.

  • It is unlikely that a grant will be awarded as a contribution towards a larger project, particularly if the remaining funds for the entire project have not been secured.

  • Any grant awarded should be for specific projects and not be used for general day-to-day running costs.

  • Each successful group should be able to demonstrate the benefit to the local community and you must  be able to provide feedback on how the grant is benefiting the local community within 6 months of the award.

  • Successful applicants must agree to the grant award being publicised on social media.

  • Successful applicants must agree to attend a presentation evening and to make a short presentation to North Cotswolds Rotary members and their guests.
