Litter Picking

Littering the countryside in the UK is a huge problem.  Over the last 12 months this has increased because of the Covid-19 pandemic with more people working from home and enjoying their local area for recreation.  It has been a particular problem in the North Cotswolds.

As well as being an eyesore litter can harm or kill wildlife.  It can also enter our streams and rivers taking plastics and other harmful materials into our oceans. 

 

While out walking we have collected large amounts of litter on a regular basis.  Whilst we need to clean up our countryside we need to stop it happening in the first place.  We are working with a great local project – Eden – to start to solve the problem.
